Franciscan
and PATH among top workplaces

Seattle Two current Evergreen
clients, the Franciscan Health System and
the Program for Appropriate Technology in
Health (PATH), are among the top places
to work in the Seattle area, according to
Seattle Metropolitan, a popular local magazine.
Considerations were made based on
criteria such as medical benefits, child
care options, turnover, philanthropy, and
special programs.
Franciscan
Health System is part of the Catholic Health
Initiatives Organization. In addition
to its philanthropic activities, Franciscan
offers its staff full medical insurance,
along with transportation subsidies and
an assistance fund composed of donations
made by employees to help their fellow employees
in need.
A
global employer and one of the largest recipient
of grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation, PATH offers its workers maternity
leave, health insurance, Metro passes, and
a stipend for health-club membership, in
addition to a mentoring program that facilitates
learning and participation by linking newcomers
with senior staffers.
